Goodbye's a Witch by Danielle Garrett

Though there is a bit of a mystery in this story, it is more about wrapping up the series, and if you go in expecting that, you'll be fine. There is a new character who is introduced but we don't see much of her. She comes through the portal that is on the manor property. But there is a problem. There are vampire's chasing her and Holly's magic is on the fritz.
It was a little flat and a little predictable but still a nice end to the series.

Men Love Witches by Danielle Garrett

Now that their home is finally open as a B&B, Holly and Adam are playing host to a vampire council, one specifically arranged by their old housemate, Lacey Vaughn. But the super-secret meeting isn't going so well. First, the powers that have gathered can't agree how they should work together. Then Harmony (who was already a little jittery around vampires) sees someone skulking in the shadows and she's pretty sure it's an old foe. Then, a valuable item goes missing. All of this craziness and she's planning a wedding and meeting Adam's parents again. Well, most of the planning is going well bt she just can't seem to find a a dress and the wedding is only six weeks away.

A fun little story that I think regular readers of the series will enjoy.

The Witch Is Inn by Danielle Garrett

Holly and Adam have officially bought the Beechwood Inn but they are having problems with their liaison to the Haven Hospitality Committee. They need to do all of the things he says or they won't get rated by the HHC, the only way they can advertise to the magical community. No advertising, no guests. So they'll have to figure out how to work with Pierre Ancel. Too bad he ends up dead just outside of Holly's greenhouse. Even worse, someone saw a man who looked like Adam arguing with Pierre early the evening before.
The mystery ends up being a little thin with the end being way too quick. There was nice development of some of the side stories though with Holly going on a date with a human and Evangeline's baby shower being in the planning stages. We also get a nice set up to the next book which will feature Lacey's return.

Sassy Witch by Danielle Garrett

Valentine's Day has hit Beechwood Harbor and Holly is trying to help Cassie lure tourists to town by hosting a week long singles party. Too bad someone is killing off their male participants. The obvious choice is the vampires in town but something seems off about that solution.
At the same time, Posy is getting ready to leave after having sold the house to SPA. No one, however, suspected that they would be getting kicked out sooner than the 90 days they were promised. So, while dealing with a pile up of bodies, Holly is also looking for new places to live. None of them seem quite right however.
Another fast, fun, and fluffy book. We get a little movement in the overall arc of the series but not much in the characters themselves.

First Place Witch by Danielle Garrett

The day she's hoped for is finally here; Holly is opening her shop! But it's even better, she's been asked to join the reality show for cauldron witches. Of course, one of the contestants just has to be an entitled jerk who runs his assistants off their feet and treats women as if he is God's gift and they can't resist.

A Royal Witch by Danielle Garrett

New roommate=new troubles. This time, a princess who is under threat is brought to the Beechwood Manor in an attempt to hide her from the unrest in her own kingdom. But someone manages to kidnap her and spirit her away so that even Adam can't smell where she went.
A little bit of movement on the Holly/Adam front otherwise not much to further the overall arc but I think regular readers will enjoy the book.

One Bad Witch by Danielle Garrett

Still trying to replace Lacey (who left to be in her own series), Holly, Adam, and Evangeline are getting a new roommate. Again. We haven't seen all of them but we do get to meet Narissa. Narissa is a reporter who may or may not be involved with a series of werewolf deaths and is getting closer to their friend Nick.

Wedding Bells and Deadly Spells by Danielle Garrett

Anastasia "Stacey" Winters has just been let go from her dream job. Reeling, she still wants to help her friend Francois who is under examination as having poisoned the groom in her last wedding (that death contributed a LOT to her firing.) While figuring out who the actual killer is, she is also able to take the next step in her professional career.
This was sort of a weak story but still fun and the series ends on a high note.

Couture and Curses by Danielle Garrett

Going to a wedding conference might not be the best idea for a newly dating couple but Anastasia Winters is a planner and this is the day that she and SPA agent Caleb have time together. Caleb gamely comes along and is treated to the sight of two designers in a fight. One is Aurelia, a friend of Ana's. Then, later, when Ana is picking up a dress from Aurelia, she sees a green light and suddenly the dress shop explodes. Now Aurelia is in a coma and there's a shadowy figure that seems to be hunting Anastasia.
Some plot holes but a fast, fun, and fluffy book.

Newly Wed and Slightly Dead by Danielle Garrett

Even paranormals get married. Which means that they need wedding planners. Well, event planners really but Anastasia Winters has aspired to being a wedding planner and she's finally gotten promoted to the position. But that doesn't mean she'll stay there long. She's got a coworker, Kait, who's gunning for her job and a boss who expects perfection at every event. Even at the rehearsals. So, when Ana bumbles a job (at least according to her boss), she's now on notice. And it's going to be particularly important for her next event because it's going to be the Wedding of the Year. Or at least fairly important because one of the scions of an old and noble vampire family is marrying a human. Which is, apparently, fairly scandalous. And it's a human who may or may not have fairy blood in her far distant past but still.
Too bad the rehearsal dinner is such a problem. First, the future mother-in-law declares that she will give her son a fortune IF the bride agrees to become a vampire. And the woman has been picking on this poor human nonstop so it's just one more thing they have to deal with. Then, the MIL ends up dead. Staked. Ashes. And the bride seems like the most likely suspect.
A fast, fun, and fluffy book and I enjoyed both it and how it lightly touched on one of Garrett's other series.

Tide Dance by Danielle Garrett

Tide Dance (Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery, #5.5)It's the height of summer and lots of strangers are in town but only one is a silver-haired teen with purple eyes who is caught for stealing. But there's more to her than meets the eye....
REALLY short but just fine. Not sure if it's going to be significant in the series.

Lucky Witch by Danielle Garrett

Lucky Witch (Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery, #5)Someone is leaving cryptic clues around town on shamrock sticky notes that lead to gold coins. At the same time, there seems to be a leprechaun in town and someone is hunting werewolves on the night that Nick has his first change. There's a lot going on, even as Holly's business is taking off. And now Adam is pulling away leaving Holly wondering what is going on.
Regular readers will not find anything wanting. I would recommend new people start at the beginning of the series.

Along Came a Ghost by Danielle Garrett

Along Came a Ghost (Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery, #4.5)There's a new ghost at the manor and he's causing problems. Holly is going to need help and she reaches out to Scarlet, the new florist who can see ghosts (and the protagonist of another of Garrett's series). Together, they reunite Posy with a very important person from her past.
A cute novella and a neat way to introduce a new series.

Witch Way Home by Danielle Garrett

Witch Way Home (Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery, #4)Holly ended the last book in the series with hope. She's got a court date that may mean she will be licensed to practice potions again. Unfortunately, her court date doesn't go as planned. First, there is a witch on the council who seems way to delighted to turn her down; it almost seems personal.  Also an issue? Her SPA agent, Harvey, who promised to speak up in her favor, is nowhere to be found. Is it because he doesn't want her? Is he wrapped up in the major trial that is happening across the way? Or is he dead? Holly didn't particularly like the guy but that doesn't mean she wishes him gone.
This book will end in a final battle that will change the lives of everyone at the manor forever.
I am really hoping that Holly's relationship with Adam will be resolved soon. I still am not at all seeing why he is her OTL based on anything other than the author assuring of it often. The mystery was okay but I was dragged down by this relationship.

Witch Slapped by Danielle Garrett

When the book opens, Holly's biggest problem is that her boyfriend Adam's parents are coming into town for the holidays. She's not quite whole-heartedly in the relationship (and I'm with her, Adam seems fairly milk-soppy so far and Garrett is really pushing the reader to think that Nick is a better fit) so she's especially nervous.
While Adam is out of town, Holly goes on a stakeout with Nick following a cheating husband. Holly is immediately concerned when she realizes that the picture Nick has of the couple includes a necklace around the neck of the wife. The necklace is the icon for a well-known, very old vampire clan. When the husband turns up dead the next day having been killed in a fairly grisly manner, Holly immediately jumps in.
She also has to deal with her SPA agent moving into the house and prying into her life. What is Harvey looking for?
Again, I'm not sure why Holly and Adam are together. Garrett is not doing a great job of connecting them and it takes away from the rest of the story.

Twice the Witch by Danielle Garrett

Twice the Witch (Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery, #2)Well. I spoke too soon. I noted in my review of the first book in this series that I was happy there were no love triangles as that is an overused trope. This book... ufda. So many.
Holly wonders what is going on with her boyfriend Adam and the new witch in the house, supernatural TV star Evangeline Loren. Adam is wondering what is going on with Holly and her private investigator friend, Nick. Holly is sure that her friend/boss at the coffee shop has a crush on Nick.
Adding into her personal drama is the fact that her coworker Paisley's cousin, Katarina, is missing. Holly gets Katarina's mom in touch with Nick but it ends up being Holly who stumbles across her first. Too bad it's because Katarina is a ghost and no one else (except the other supernaturals) can see her.

Murder's a Witch by Danielle Garrett

Murder's a Witch (Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery, #1)When Holly Boldt's boss is killed, she's worried that all of her own secrets will be revealed. The fact that she's an exiled witch working in the human world already makes her life fraught with danger. She's still allowed to practice some magic but making potions... well, that's kept on the sly. But she generally likes her life and Beechwood Harbor is starting to feel like home. So she's trying to stay on the DL, living her life at the manor with other supernaturals including a vampire and a shifter while working at a coffee shop. The day that she ports in behind and finds a body surrounded by broken peppermint bottles is the day that she starts to worry about her place. She's not a suspect, but her close friend is.
A nice start to a new series. I'm glad that it doesn't seem like there will be a love triangle.
