The Witching Moon Manor by Stacy Sivinski

It's been a little over a year since the events of the first book. Anne, Violet, and Beatrix have missed their birthday together but the three are reuniting in their Chicago home. Violet is haunted by a mistake she made during her and her husband's acrobatic act. Beatrix no longer seems to have any words. And Anne has to prevent an apocalypse.
I actually liked this one a bit better than the first because we are getting more character and world building.

Murder In An Italian Village Audiobook by Michael Falco, Nichol Zanzarella (Narrator)

Bria Bartolucci is a guest in Positano. Not a tourist but not a resident either. She was moved there by her husband, Carlo, who has since passed away. But she is staying strong for her eight-year-old son, Marco, and his dog, Bravo. She is going to open her B&B, Bella Bella.
One day she comes home to Bravo barking at one of her guest doors. Inside, a man in a suit who appears to be sleeping. But, this is a mystery, so, of course, he is not. The rest of the book has her running around in one of my least favorite tropes, person with no experience trying to solve a mystery for "reasons" and ACTIVELY interfering in the investigation. And that's when Luca, the cop on the case is Bria's best friend's brother and almost like a brother to Bria herself. To be fair, his partner, Nunzi (sp?), isn't a big Bria fan. Bria is also upset that her handyman, Giovanni, who has a shady past, seems to be a prime suspect. But he's always been so good to her...
I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing but this is the first time in a LONG time that I went and checked the gender of the author because Bria seems like an idealized version of A Woman rather than an actual human being. That along with her meddling, made this book a slog for me.

A Very Punchable Face by Colin Jost

Arguably, the things people best know Colin Jost for is being on SNL and marrying Scarlett Johansson. This book gives him a little more depth. Including a bit about how he tried to murder his younger brother and treated him fairly horribly, at least based on the stories in the book. It would be interesting to hear it from the other side.
Overall it's a celebrity biography. A little bit about the behind-the-scenes of SNL through Jost's lens. But most of it is fairly bland and skates over a lot of the stories. Interesting but not much in depth.

The King's Ransom by Janet Evanovich

Gabriela just finished up a difficult recovery and walking into her house, ready to relax. Too bad her (infuriatingly still-hot) ex-husband is there with his golden retriever cousin, Harvey. Harvey is on theh run. He was promoted to vice president of insurance at a bank, approving policies. Mostly, he plays pickleball.
Oh my god. The product name-dropping. I wouldn't be surprised if Evanovich was 6,000 words short and decided that the way to make up the deficit was to add a metric crap ton of super fancy, high end clothing/accessories. It may also be a tongue-in-cheek thing that I don't remember from the previous book but it sure made the first 50 or so pages a slog. It picks up a little bit for some adventure. It's as wild, crazy, and inconceivable as Evanovich's books generally are. I think regular readers will enjoy.

The Holly Village Murders by Benedict Brown

Marius and Bella have another mystery to solve when her Aunt Adele dies. They immediately head for her cottage in Holly Village which is made up mainly of people who are classed as "elderly." There have been a number of deaths in the past year but that's not really suspicious based on the median age.
What is odd, however, is that the Manet that was over Adele's fireplace has disappeared and another painting was put in it's place. Compounding that is the fact that Adele's death is not the last that this group of people will see.
An interesting story wherein Bella and Marius are pretending to be married. A nice addition to the series. I don't think you'd need to read other books in the series but it might help.

The Cornish Christmas Pantomime Murder by Fiona Leitch

There's yet another murder in Jodie Parker's small town. This time it occurs on stage during the Christmas pantomime. Both Jodie's daughter and her mother are involved with the pantomime so she's met some of the people involved as well, including the woman who was murdered.
At first, the assumption is that it has to be connected to the pantomime, but it turns out that the murder is connected to a crime that happened over thirty years ago. Jodie, being police-adjacent, is up to her nose in this mystery. I enjoy this series because Jodie was once a policewoman and she also is invited to help with solving the crime, not just running around on her own.

The Crescent Moon Tearoom by Stacy Sivinski

This book is the equivalent of a warm cup of tea. Just nice. Maybe not super exciting, but an even read.
Three sisters run a teahouse where they read the futures of the witches of Chicago. They have always been in lock step but that is starting to falter. Violet is entranced by an acrobat at a visiting circus. Beatrix's recent manuscript submission is about to take the literary world by storm, and Anne's powers are growing at a pace she is reluctant to reveal to her sisters.
They are further thrown off balance when one of their regulars reveals that she sees a curse behind their eyes. Suddenly, their whole world is upside down. And it's not helped by the fact that the Council has decided that the three of them must help three witches complete their "Tasks" before the other three die.
