Audrey Lane Stirs the Pot by Alexis Hall

Though they've been broken up for quite awhile, Audrey Lane still hears the voice her ex-girlfriend berating her for most of her decisions. But she goes on the baking show in Britain anyway. And comes right up against Jennifer Hallett, the producer. It starts when Audrey asks for help for the contestant who is over ninety. She, quite rightly, would prefer that Doris not have to walk up a giant hill to get back to the hotel after a full day of baking. Jennifer just wants her show to work; she's (at least on the outside) more concerned
I don't remember this from the other books in the series but this book includes some time hopping and a switch to a first person point of view by someone who isn't the main character. And, while that story is kind of lovely and helps Audrey grow, I wish we had seen more of the two characters growing together.

The Author's Guide to Murder by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, Karen White

There has been a murder at the castle.
Three American authors, supposedly "best friends" (it's said A LOT) are visiting for a writing retreat. They have sold the idea of the three of them working on one book. Emma, Cassie, and Kat met at a conference and became friends. But don't seem to know each other very well. It's just too bad that there's been a murder in the castle.
The chapters go back and forth between police interviews and third person omniscient as they rotate through the characters. There is also a lot of time jumping. It took me a LONG while to get into the book, but then I started enjoying it. However, the ending jumped the shark a little too much for me.

The Treasure Hunters Club by Tom Ryan

Generations ago, a sailing ship lost a treasure off the coast of Nova Scotia. Decades ago, a group of friends found the treasure. Then, it disappeared. Since then, there has been a society of their offspring dedicated to finding the treasure. But they are all in their eighties and nineties. Or dead.
This book jumps between characters as well as between the past and present. We also move from first person narration, to third person omniscient, to a different third person omniscient, to some epistolary. And there are layers of the mystery. In other words, there's a lot going on. There's even a touch of fantasy at the end. For someone who doesn't mind a sort of sprawling book that runs all over, this is going to be a great book.
